10-day training to enhance tech knowledge of bombs ends at police academy

A 10-day training programme on “bombs and explosives” concluded at the Dr S Radhakrishnan Conference Hall of the Haryana Police Academy at Madhuban in Karnal district on Friday. The programme was organised under the aegis of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), New Delhi, in which 20 officers, ranking from sub-inspectors to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) participated, said officials of the academy.

The closing ceremony was chaired by Haryana Armed Police Deputy District Attorney (DDA) Gujendra Singh along with Haryana Police Academy DDA Surendra Singh.

DDA Gujendra Singh distributed participation certificates to all attendees and awarded merit certificates to top performers of the training programme. The first position was secured by sub-inspector Ajay Kumar from Dabwali district, followed by sub-inspector Sanjeev Kumar from Fatehabad district in the second spot and sub-inspector Ajay Kumar from Yamunanagar district in the third place. Officials said the purpose of training was to enhance technical knowledge and response capabilities of police officers in handling explosives and bomb-related incidents effectively.
