10 of 12 plaints resolved at Ambala meet

Haryana’s Public Works (B&R) and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa on Friday chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting and directed officials to resolve the complaints on priority.

The minister was holding the meeting at Panchayat Bhawan in Ambala City on Friday. As many as 12 complaints were listed for the meeting, of which 10 were resolved, while directions were issued on the remaining two complaints and kept pending for the next meeting.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer, SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat, District Municipal Commissioner Virender Lather and several BJP leaders were present on the occasion.

During the meeting, Nirmala Devi, a resident of Ratanheri, stated that she had bought a plot but another person has taken the possession on her plot. Following the complaint, the minister directed the officials to get her money returned and in case the amount was not returned, then an FIR should be registered against the person concerned.

Chanchal Rani, a resident of Shalimar Colony, said in her complaint that a toilet tank was built on the road outside her house and it had not been cleaned. Due to which there was foul smell and dampness in the rooms of her house. The Cabinet Minister directed a member of the Grievance Redressal Committee to inspect the spot with the officials concerned and told the municipal corporation officials to get the tank cleaned.

Kulmeet Singh, a resident of Kakaru, in his complaint said a private school on Jadaut Road had permission of a playway school, whereas it admitted children up to Class seven. In this case, District Elementary Education Officer Sudhir Kalra informed the minister that the school representative concerned had taken permission to run the school up to Class V and had applied for further recognition. If the application was not accepted, further action would be taken as per the rules.

The minister also issued directions in connection with the development of a colony by a private developer at Kalpi village, and the drain in Manmohan Nagar.

Speaking to mediapersons, the minister said the BJP government had been working continuously for the welfare of all sections of society. The party was fulfilling all its promises.

Meanwhile, while attending an event held as part of Haryana Swachhta Abhiyan-2025 at Panchayat Bhawan, the minister said collective efforts were required to achieve the target.

He also administered oath to the people present on the occasion and called on the officials to focus on improving the sanitary conditions and make citizens join the campaign.

Gangwa said no campaign could be complete without the participation of the general public, for this, everyone should come forward and give their full participation and contribution in the campaign. “We can make our city and state beautiful by taking to cleanliness. During the Swachhta Pakhwada, the general public should also come forward and join the cleanliness campaign and play an important role in making the campaign successful”, he urged.
