11 GJUST students get campus placements

The training & placement cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUST), Hisar, organised a campus placement drive, which led to selection of 11 students by Cognizant, one of the world’s leading IT companies.

Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor, commended the university’s efforts in fostering career opportunities through corporate collaborations. He said it was made possible with the university’s dedication to providing industry-aligned education and enhancing employability skills to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world.

Dr Partap Singh, director of placement, said the placement drive saw participation from 110 students of BTech. (CSE, IT, ECE, AIML), out of which 11 were selected after rigorous rounds, including an aptitude test, technical round (held virtually), and a final interview at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The selected students hail from BTech (CSE, IT, ECE, EE) and MCA courses.

Singh also said Cognizant, headquartered in the US, was recognised among the world’s most admired companies for 12 consecutive years. It ranks 194 on the Fortune 500 list and holds the 63rd position in the Forbes Top 100 Digital Companies (2019).

Dr Aditya Vir Singh, assistant director, said Chhavi Dhiman (BTech CSE) has been selected for the GenC Next profile with a CTC of Rs 6.75 LPA. The other students selected for the GenC profile, with a CTC of Rs 4.00 LPA, include Abhay Kumar, Rajan Kushwaha, Aman Soni, Mukul, Aayush, and Nitish (BTech CSE), Nikhil (BTech IT), and Vanshika Sehgal, Vanshika Sharma, and Kashish (BTech CSE-AIML).
