12 cases of cheating, eight cases of impersonation in board exams

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, has registered 12 cases of cheating, including eight cases of impersonation, during the Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations held on Thursday.

The Board chairman, Prof Pawan Kumar, stated that 40,030 students appeared for exams in subjects such as Punjabi, IT/ITES, Sanskrit grammar (secondary level), computer science, and IT/ITES (senior secondary level), along with DElEd exams on Thursday. During surprise inspections, Kumar visited exam centres in Bhiwani, where he found exams being conducted smoothly. Vice-Chairman Satish Kumar inspected Kaithal and Guhla subdivisions, while Board Secretary Munish Nagpal also conducted inspections in Kaithal. During these inspections, 10 cases of cheating were recorded, including eight cases of impersonation at Saini Senior Secondary School, Kaithal-22.

The superviser at the Kaithal-22 exam Centre, Bindu Rani, was relieved of duty for violating board regulations and failing to ensure a fair examination process.

Besides, in Panipat, a flying squad found negligence at the Kinder Kin Senior Secondary School (Panipat-21). Supervisers Bhupender and Mohit Public School staff were found negligent in their duties and were removed from their duty. Disciplinary action against these supervisers has been also recommended to the Education Department.

The Board official informed that 83,018 students will appear for the Senior Secondary exams in subjects like chemistry, accountancy, public administration and the DElEd examination on March 15.
