Kaithal SP Astha Modi instructed all supervisory officers and SHOs to maintain polite behaviour with candidates and deal strictly with any anti-social elements attempting to disrupt the examination process.

Karnal District Magistrate Uttam Singh and Kaithal District Magistrate Preeti have imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) within a 200m radius of all exam centres, restricting public gatherings and the opening of photocopy shops near exam venues.

The traffic police have been instructed to manage the parking of candidates’ vehicles at designated spots and to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.

The police appealed to candidates and their guardians to strictly follow the HSSC and police protocols and avoid any violation of rules, assuring full cooperation from the police for a safe and fair examination environment.

Meanwhile in Karnal, DC Uttam Singh and SP Punia along with HSSC member Kapil Atreja held a review meeting with officials concerned, focusing on transport arrangements, secure paper delivery and basic infrastructure at exam centres.

DC Singh directed Gharaunda SDM Rajesh Soni to arrange reserve vehicles for the secure transport of question papers. In case of any vehicle breakdown, backup vehicles should be dispatched immediately and the entire process should be videographed for record.

He said that no staff member would be allowed entry without a valid ID card. Coaching centres and photocopy shops near exam centres will remain completely shut during the exam.

For candidates travelling from Jind to Karnal, DC Singh informed that buses would be halted at Karnal Police Lines from where shuttle bus services would ferry them to respective exam centres. Auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws will also be available. After the exam, shuttles will return candidates to Police Lines for onward travel back to Jind.

HSSC member Kapil Atreja emphasised that CET is a crucial opportunity for over 14 lakh candidates in the state and must be treated with the utmost seriousness. He directed that CCTV cameras at all centres must be properly installed and functional.
