14,664 candidates across 47 centres to sit for Haryana Civil Services exam

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anish Yadav and member of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) Rajendra Kumar conducted a meeting with officials from various departments to ensure peaceful and successful conduct of the Haryana Civil Services (HCS) exam. The test is scheduled to take place on February 11.

They directed duty magistrates, flying squads and centre superintendents to ensure fair examination, emphasizing that it is the collective responsibility of all officials to ensure the exams proceed smoothly. All officials should discharge their duties with complete dedication and avoid negligence at all costs.

Zila Parishad CEO Gaurav Kumar has been appointed as the nodal officer for the exam.

The DC informed that the exam is one of the state’s prestigious exams conducted by the HPSC. A total of 47 exam centres have been set up across the city and the exam will be held in two shifts — from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm. As many as 14,664 candidates will be appearing for it.

“Candidates must enter the examination centres between 8.30 am and 9.50 am for the morning shift and between 1.30 pm and 2.50 pm for the afternoon shift,” said the DC.

Yadav maintained that Section 144 of the CrPC will be imposed near centres. — TNS

Instructions for officials

  • Visit examination centres to check arrangements like seating, drinking water, toilets, CCTV cameras and jammers are in place
  • Mandatory for employees to wear identity cards
  • Invigilators, other officials should report for duty on time
  • Videography to be conducted during the time of paper distribution and collection
  • All CCTV cameras must be positioned to monitor candidates
  • Wall clocks must be installed showing the same time
