15 plaints resolved at grievances redressal panel meet in Jagadhri

A meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee was held at the District Secretariat, Jagadhri, on Friday.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Haryana’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi.

A total 21 grievances/complaints were placed at the meeting, out of which the Cabinet Minister resolved 15 on the spot. He directed officials of the district administration to resolve the remaining six complaints by the next meeting.

At the meeting, Karan Kumar of Hudiya village falling under Saraswati Nagar block of the district complained about wrong marking of the land (Nishan Dehi) and Rishi Pal, sarpanch of Salempur village falling under Sadhaura block of the district raised the issue of removing encroachment from a road. The minister directed the block development and panchayat officer of Sadhaura to remove encroachment from the road.

Aman Singla of Jagadhri complained about a fraud committed with him. Taking action on his complaint, the minister directed the Superintendent of Police to form a special investigation team (SIT) and get Singla’s complaint investigated. The minister issued instructions to keep this complaint pending till the next meeting.

Mohan Lal of Sili Khurd village, falling under Radaur sub-division of the district, lodged a complaint about illegal mining of soil from Mushtarka land.

After hearing this complaint, the minister directed the Radaur SDM and District Grievances Redressal Committee members Dhanpat Saini and one other member to investigate the matter. He also instructed them to submit a report and asked officials to keep this complaint pending till the next meeting.

Sadhaura MLA Renu Bala, Mayor Suman Bahamani, Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Akhil Pilani, Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh Bhoria, Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra, Zila Parishad Chairman Ramesh Thaska, Zila Parishad CEO Virender Singh Dhull, Jagadhri SDM Sonu Ram, Radaur SDM Narinder Kumar and Chhachhrauli SDM Rohit Kumar were also present at the meeting.
