15-yr-old raped in Gurugram

Gurugram, June 27

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth after he offered her a ride.

The accused has been identified as Pradeep, a resident of Mangar village.

On the complaint of the victim’s mother, an FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act at DLF Phase 1 police station.

The mother of the victim told the police that she had sent her daughter to the market on June 23.

“My daughter came back and told me that she couldn’t get the articles and went back the next day for the same. A day later, she told me she had a headache. When I asked her, she said Pradeep had offered her a ride both days to the market, but instead took her to a hotel near Chattarpur and raped her,” the mother said in her complaint. He also threatened to kill her daughter if she told anybody about the crime, she added.

“The accused is absconding,” the police said.
