Employees of different departments have been put on duty on these check-posts and they have been asked to ensure the proper checking of all the vehicles and send their daily report to the office of Deputy Commissioner.
This step has been taken by Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta in compliance with orders of the National Green Tribunal and on the request of Mines and Geology Department, Yamunanagar.
According to the information available, the check-posts have been established near Herbal Park (Bhood naka, Pratapnagar), Jaidhari village, Shahzadpur village, Amadalpur village, Behrampur village, Kait village, Kait Mandi chowk (Lapra naka), Chhachhrauli Anaj Mandi chowk, Khanuwala chowk, Ibrahimpur village, Taharpur village, Mughalwali village, Sultanpur village, Damla bypass naka, Triveni chowk of Radaur and Gumthala village.

“In case of any emergency and if any vehicle is found involved in illegal transportation of mineral, the team in-charges may also contact Mining Inspectors Aman Kumar and Rohit Rana,” reads the order issued by Deputy Commissioner.
In a meeting held in the district secretariat on February 18 regarding the prevention of illegal mining, Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta had said that as per the instructions and guidelines issued by the Haryana Government from time to time, the team of police personnel and Mining Department should do the checking work in mutual coordination.
He said that if any vehicle was found involved in illegal activity, it should be seized on the spot and departmental and police action should be taken.
