17-year-old girl shot at in Faridabad’s Shyam Colony

A 17-year-old girl student was shot at by a young man in Shyam Colony under the City Ballabhgarh Police Station area on Monday evening. The bullet struck her shoulder and she was admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police have launched a search for the accused after registering an FIR.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Kanishka, a resident of Shyam Colony. She attends a nearby coaching centre. Around 5 pm on Monday evening, a young man shot her near her home. One bullet grazed her shoulder and another grazed her abdomen. The accused fled the scene after committing the crime. Police have recovered the weapon from the spot.

“Initial investigation revealed that the girl student recognised the accused, who attended the same coaching centre as her. The injured girl has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police and the Crime Branch are searching for the accused,” said the spokesperson of Faridabad Police.
