176 kg ganja seized, three held in Jhajjar

With the arrest of three persons, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC), Bahadurgarh, has succeeded in seizing 176 kg of ganja with a market value of over Rs 20 lakh from two luxury cars near Daboda village here. The consignment was being brought from Chhattisgarh and was to be supplied at various places across the state.
ACP Shubham Singh, while interacting with the media here on Saturday, said they received a tip-off regarding ganja being smuggled in two cars on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) highway.
“Acting swiftly on the tip-off, a vehicle checking operation was launched on the highway near Dabauda village. The cops stopped both the cars as soon as the suspects reached the check-post. On checking the cars, 176 kg of ganja was recovered from the cars. Two of the suspects were arrested, while two others managed to flee. Later the third suspect was also nabbed. Raids are being conducted to arrest the fourth one,” he added.
The ACP said the suspects had been identified as Bijendra, Mohit and Satish of Kharawar village in Rohtak district. A case under the NDPS Act had been registered against them. They had been taken on police remand to get more information about those indulged in the racket, he added.
