18-year-old stabbed to death in Panipat

An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death in a colony here on Saturday midnight. The accused, who is said to be a close relative of the deceased, managed to run away from the spot after committing the crime.

The deceased has been identified as Osim Ansari of Bihar, who was living in street number 4 at Raj Nagar colony here. Gulnaaj Khatoon, mother of the deceased in her complaint to the Model Town police, said her son was working as a labourer here and was living with his maternal uncle Afasar Anasari in a rented accommodation here. She further stated that her son, Osim, had an altercation with his maternal uncle, Afsar Ansari, some days ago. Keeping enmity in his mind, Afsar attacked Osim with a sharp-edged weapon on his neck on Saturday late at night . Osim fell after sustaining stab wounds in his neck. The assailant ran away from the spot. Osim died at the spot. The Eight Marla police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
