18-yr-old youth killed at Israna village of Panipat

The body of an 18-year-old youth was found in the fields of Balana village in Israna area of the district on Thursday. The youth had been missing from his house since Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Aryan of Mandi village. The police said over 15 stab wounds were found on the body.

The police along with an FSL team reached the spot and sent the body to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Asha, mother of the deceased, alleged in her complaint to the police that her son left the house on Wednesday after his cousin Nishu called him in the morning and went out with him, but did not return.

She further alleged that when she called Nishu to ask him about her son, he misbehaved and cut the phone.

The police registered a case and began a probe into the matter.

On Friday morning, the family accessed CCTV cameras in the village and found that when Aryan left the house, two youths on a motorcycle were standing on the outer turn of the village.

Aryan moved to the fields, where some persons reportedly murdered him with sharp-edged weapons.

SP Lokender Singh said an FIR had been registered, and murder Sections had been added.
