The AQI of Sonepat has been recorded as 'very poor' over the past 12 days.

DC Sushil Kumar Sarwan and DCP (Crime) Narender Kadyan constituted 19 teams led by four SDMs. As many as 55 officers, along with a large number of police personnel, conducted the checks. The DC said inspection was conducted in industrial zones of Rai, Barhi, Gannaur, Kundli, Nathupur, Kharkhoda, Murthal, Bahalgarh and Gohana road.

The CAQM implemented the action under GRAP-1, GRAP-2, and GRAP-3 on October 14, October 19, and November 11, respectively, in the NCR to curb air-polluting activities.
