2,000 retail outlets to be opened for youth

Chandigarh, November 11

To inspire youth to become entrepreneurs and make them self-reliant, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will launch the Retail Expansion Project on February 11, 2021, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Under this project, 2,000 retail outlets will be opened across the state. The government’s vision is to deliver the benefit of government schemes to each and every person, in keeping with the spirit of Antyodaya.

The decision was taken during a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister here today with the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited regarding setting up of the retail outlets.

Rohit Yadav, managing director of the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, said of these, 1,500 retail outlets will be opened in rural areas and 500 in urban areas.
