2 arrested for possessing illicit firearms

The police have arrested two persons in connection with possessing illicit firearms. Two country-made revolvers have been seized from them.

A police official said one of the accused, identified as Khubchand, alias Mohit, was nabbed from Katcha Talab area of Hodal. The second accused, Ravi Dutt, was arrested near Hari Nagar in the city.

The official added the accused were booked under the Arms Act as they failed to produce any permit for possession of revolvers.
