Rohtak: 2 booked for financier’s murder

The police have registered a case against two brothers of Rohtak for the murder of a local financier, Ravi (29), who was shot dead yesterday.
An FIR has been lodged under Sections 103 (1) and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023, and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Devender, the father of the deceased.
The complainant, who is a resident of Sunaria Kalan village in Rohtak district, said his son Ravi worked as a financier.
“He left on his motorcycle around 2 pm on Monday. Around 5.30 pm, a village resident, informed me that Ravi’s body was lying near a local banquet hall. I rushed to the spot and found that my son had been shot dead and his body was lying in a pool of blood,” said Devender.
The father of the deceased said he suspected that Prahlad Rathi and his brother Krishan Rathi of Ajit Nagar in Rohtak had killed his son along with their accomplices.
The police have registered a case against the brothers on the basis of the complaint. The body was sent for a post-mortem and police teams sent to arrest the suspects.
However, no arrests had been made till the time of filing this report.
