Yogesh of Sambhal, in his complaint to the Kundli police, said he was working as a salesman at a liquor shop in Pyau Manyari, Kundli.

He said, on the night of April 26, three men came to the shop on a scooter.

Two of them stood at the gate while one entered the liquor shop with a pistol in his hand, and opened fire on the salesmen.

The salesman managed to catch the miscreant, while the two others fled.

After this, the salesman shut him inside a bathroom.

The man then reportedly ended his life by hanging by his ‘parna’ (the cloth with which he had covered his face) inside the bathroom.

The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed at the shop.

The deceased has been identified as Mohit of Murthal village in Sonepat district. The matter was handed over to the CIA (Sector 27 unit). The team arrested both accused from Nahra-Nahri village near Narela road on Tuesday, according to the DCP.

The accused revealed that they had come in contact with each other at the Panipat jail. After getting bail, they planned to loot liquor shops.

Mohit had arranged weapons to execute the plan, while Kusmakar stole a scooter from Delhi on April 21 to commit the crime, the DCP added.

All three had criminal records – over 10 criminal cases were registered against Mohit; five cases against Kusmakar in Delhi and Haryana; while four cases were registered against Manjeet, the DCP said.

The accused were produced before a court. The court sent them to judicial custody on Wednesday, the DCP added.
