Kurukshetra, December 29
Two fertiliser traders have been booked after a team of the Agriculture Department recovered 285 urea bags from an unauthorised godown in Pehowa on Tuesday.
The case was registered on the complaint of Manish Kumar Vats, SDO of the Agriculture Department, against Amit and Monu under Section 7 of the Fertiliser Control Order, and Sections 7 and 10 of the Essential Commodities Act at Pehowa police station.
Notably, BKU (Charuni) activists on Monday claimed the fertiliser bags were being stored by the trader at an unauthorised godown. The SDO said during checking, it was found that the trader in his point of sale machine had shown his stock as nil, while he had stocked 285 bags at the godown. — TNS
