Faridabad, February 10
The police on Friday arrested two persons in connection with a murder case.
A police official said the suspects, identified as Nitesh and Mohit, both residents of Jharsentli village in the district, were nabbed for the murder of Inderjit, who was stabbed to death on February 7.
According to information, the suspects were victim’s friends and they suspected him of being a police informer, which led to the murder.
The suspects and the victim were allegedly involved in selling illegal narcotic injections and Nitesh and Inderjit had a quarrel a few days before the incident.
It is claimed that Nitesh, who suspected that Inderjit could inform the police about his activities, stabbed him. Mohit was his accomplice in this incident, it is reported.
A case under Sections 302, 34 and 506 of the IPC was registered on a complaint lodged by deceased’s brother Netrapal.
The police have got four-day remand of the suspects.
