The CIA-2 unit of Kurukshetra police nabbed two miscreants after a brief exchange of fire on Wednesday evening. The miscreants have been identified as Ravi and Ankush.
Ravi suffered a bullet injury and is undergoing treatment at LNJP District Civil Hospital. The CIA-2 incharge, Mohan Lal, said they received a tip-off that two miscreants, with their faces covered, were carrying weapons and driving a two-wheeler without a number plate on Tigri road. “After seeing the police, they tried to flee, but the two-wheeler slipped and they fell on the road. Ravi started firing at the police, and in response, the police also opened fire and one of them sustained a bullet injury in the leg. Ravi was involved in firing at a liquor vend in Karnal, while Ankush was the main conspirator. Both have a criminal history and further investigation is on," he said.
