The crime branch of the local police has nabbed two persons allegedly connected with crime incidents.
The accused have been identified as Munim alias Azad and Momin alias Nehna from an area near Sikrona village in the district. An official said the accused had perhaps been waiting to loot when the police arrested them during a routine patrol. He said the accused attempted to flee but were overpowered.
The police said the interrogation revealed that Munim, a resident of Mathura, was facing 75 cases of loot, theft, assault and quarrels registered at various places in Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. These include 10 cases in Faridabad, 10 in UP and over 50 in Delhi. He had also been booked under the Gangster Act. The other accused Momin, a resident of Ali Meo village of Hathin sub-division of Palwal district.
Two Iron rods have been recovered from the accused, who have been sent to judicial custody.
