2 sisters die after falling from 4th floor of house in Gurugram

Two sisters, working as a domestic help in the millenium city, died after falling from the fourth floor of a businessman’s house at Sector 40 in Gurugram city on Friday.

After getting the information, a team from Sector 40 police station reached the spot immediately and began the investigation. The bodies were sent to the district hospital for a postmortem examination.

Rashmi died at a house in Sector 40 of Gurugram.

The deceased, identified as Chandni (23) and Rashmi (21), were permanent residents of Hathras (UP). Chandni was married and had a son. She used to live in the servant quarters downstairs in the house where the tragic incident occurred. Rashmi was also presently living in Gurugram city, working as a domestic help somewhere else. She had come to meet her sister.

Chandni was working in the house of one Manoj Sharma, who runs a furniture business in Sector 65 in the city. Manoj told the police that he along with his family left for Khatu Shyam temple in Rajasthan on Friday. After travelling a few kilometres in the city, he remembered that his medicines were at home. When he reached home to get the medicines, he saw that the house was open.

Hearing the sound of someone entering the house, the two women reportedly jumped from the fourth floor of the building. When Manoj heard the sound of someone falling, he saw the two women lying in a pool of blood on the floor of the backyard of the house.

The police are analysing the footage from CCTV cameras installed in the house. Sector 40 police station SHO Lalit Kumar said: “We are waiting for the postmortem report. Further action will be taken accordingly.” Meanwhile, the police have handed over the bodies to the family members.
