Gurugram, June 7
The Gurugram police nabbed two arms suppliers and recovered 11 guns, cartridges and a motorcycle from them.
The accused — Kuldeep, alias CM (27) and Mukesh Kumar (24) of Mathura district Uttar Pradesh — bought the illegal weapons from their native state for Rs 15, 000 and were selling them in Delhi-NCR for over Rs 50,000.
On a tip-off, Sector 17 crime unit head Inspector Narender Chauhan and his team nabbed the accused from Agrsen Bhawan, Sohna. The accused were carrying weapons in a black bag and roaming on a bike. On asking, they could not submit any documents regarding the weapons and were taken into custody.
The police have recovered 11 pistols, 22 magazine, 15 cartridges in a black bag and a motorcycle from their possession. While Kuldeep, who is physically challenged, repairs cellphones, Mukesh works in a Faridabad company.
“In the past, the accused had supplied arms in places like Palwal, Hodal, UP and Delhi etc many times but in they came to Gurugram for the first time. Both of them were coming on a motorcycle to supply arms at Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram. But when they entered Sohna, they were nabbed. We are questioning them,” said Preet Pal Singh Sangwan, ACP, crime. — OC
