21-yr-old factory worker killed  in Ganaur

Sonepat, February 12

A 21-year-old youth was found murdered at the Barhi industrial area, Ganaur, in Sonepat today.

The deceased has been identified as Pradeep of Lakhimpur Khiri in Uttar Pradesh. He was working as a labourer at a factory in Samalkha. He was living on a rented accommodation in Barhi village along with his relative.

As per information, he left the room after having dinner late Sunday night but did not return home.

The HSIIDC industrial area police station, Barhi, received information that a body was lying in a pool of blood at a vacant plot in the area. The police reached the spot and later the deceased was identified as Pradeep.

As per the police, he was murdered brutally as there were several injuries on the body, including his private parts, that had been inflicted using a sharp-edged weapon.

The police sent the body to the mortuary at the General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police have informed his family members.

Mahesh Kumar, SHO, HSIIDC, Barhi, said a case had been registered under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC and a probe into the matter was underway.
