A team of the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau has caught 22 vehicles allegedly involved in the transportation of mining mineral illegally.

The vehicles have been handed over to the Mines and Geology Department.

Vinay Sharma, District Mining Officer, said a fine would be imposed on the seized vehicles.

Shyam Sunder Sharma, incharge of the police station of the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, Yamunanagar, said the team caught the vehicles between Radaur and Ladwa on the Yamunanagar-Ladwa-Kurukshetra road last night.

The teams of different departments have seized 171 vehicles reportedly involved in illegal mining and transportation of mining mineral illegally in the district in the past two months.

As many as 103 FIRs were registered for the transportation of mining mineral illegally and 17 FIRs were registered on charges of illegal mining in the district during January and February.

The District Mining Officer said, “Several departments, including the Mines and Geology Department, district police and the enforcement bureau have seized the vehicles.”
