Panipat, March 20

Gurjeet Kaur, niece of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, and Krishna Prasad, national finance secretary of the All-India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), jointly flagged off the Shaheed Yadgar Kisan Mazdoor Padyatra at the Kisan Bhawan here on Saturday. Scores of volunteers from Haryana joined the march organised by the Kisan Sabha, CITU and the Agriculture Worker’s Union.

The padyatra started from Khatkar Kalan, native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Punjab, and will reach the Singhu border on March 23. — TNS
