225 donate blood to mark one year of Pulwama attack
Kaithal, February 14
A blood donation camp was organised by the Public Welfare Trust and the District Red Cross Society in Rajound Town of the district on Friday. Minister of state for Women and Child Development Kamlesh Dhanda inaugurated the camp in memory of Pulwama terror attack martyrs. Speaking on the occasion, Dhanda said, “We should not forget the sacrifice made by our security personnel while fighting terrorism and safeguarding our national borders.”
As many as 225 persons donated blood at the camp. The minister said donating blood was a noble cause and blood donors and organisers should be appreciated for the humane act. She pinned badges to blood donors and honoured the trust members who orgaised the camp. She asked officials present on the occasion to perform their duty impartially and warned that dereliction of duty would not be tolerated. Rajound Municipal Committee chairperson Guddi Rana was among others present on the occasion. — OC
