As many as 25 youths sustained injuries in a mishap that occurred on the Saidpur-Jatola road in the Kharkhoda area after a bus, in which the youths were sitting, collided with a truck during overtaking. The police reached the spot and rushed all injured to the civil hospital in Kharkhoda.
The youths were on their way to the Maruti plant for apprenticeship.
The bus left for the Maruti plant at the IMT-Kharkhoda from Barota village police post in the wee hours on Wednesday. As the bus reached near the State Bank of India on the Saidpur-Jatola road, it hit a truck, when the driver tried to overtake the truck.
The front portion of the bus got badly damaged while 25 youths sitting in the bus sustained injuries.
People gathered at the spot and the police reached the spot after getting information. They rushed the injured ITI students to the civil hospital and private hospitals in Kharkhoda. Maximum injured have been discharged after getting first aid.
SI Jaljeet, incharge, Saidpur police post, said that the accident occurred in the morning and no complaint was received.
"All youths are safe and no one sustained serious injuries in the accident and almost all have been discharged," he added.
