25 women entrepreneurs receive Rs 3.47 lakh under govt schemes

The cheques were handed over in the presence of Dr Darshna Singh, District Manager of the Women Development Corporation.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Virender Sahrawat said the Haryana Government is running various schemes to make women self-reliant. Among these, the Matrushakti Udyamita Yojana and the Widow Loan Scheme play a key role in empowering women through financial support for self-employment.
He informed that under the Matrushakti Udyamita Yojana, women can avail loans up to Rs 5 lakh to start their own businesses. The scheme includes a three-month moratorium period and is open to women aged between 18 and 60 years, with an annual family income of less than Rs 5 lakh. To apply, women must submit an application form along with documents such as Aadhaar card, Parivar Pehchan Patra, income certificate and business details at the Women Development Corporation office.
The Widow Loan Scheme is designed for widowed, divorced or legally separated women who are economically weak. Eligible beneficiaries can receive loans up to Rs 3 lakh through banks for various self-employment activities. a Only women with an annual income below Rs 3 lakh qualify.
