25-yr-old youth dies under mysterious circumstances, murder case registered

A 25-year-old youth died after falling from roof in Samalkha on Saturday under suspicious circumstances. His family members alleged that he was murdered. The Samalkha police have registered a murder case and initiated probe into the matter.

The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar Yadav, a resident of Sewan district in Bihar. Saurabh Kumar Yadav, brother of the deceased, in his complaint to the Samalkha police stated that his elder brother Aman was a drier engineer and had joined a liquor company around one month ago.

He received a call from the Samalkha police in the midnight that his brother Aman died after falling from roof in Samalkha. Following information, he sent his relatives, who were living in Delhi, to Samalkha.

He came to know that Pradeep Singh, a contractor in the company, had called his brother to his room. Saurabh further alleged that Aman told his family several times that Pradeep was interfering in his work, his behaviour was also not good with him and he also tried to pressurise him.

Saurabh reached Samalkha on Saturday night and came to know that contractor Pradeep Singh strangulated his brother to death due to some personal grudge.

Following Saurabh’s complaint, the Samalkha police registered a murder case.

Inspector Kailash Chand, Station House Officer (SHO), Samalkha. said prima facie the case seems to be an accident, but family members of the deceased alleged that he was murdered.

The viscera of the deceased was sent to the forensic laboratory and body of the deceased was handed over to his family after post-mortem examination, the SHO said.

However, the actual cause of the death would be ascertained only after arrival of the post-mortem report, he said. No marks of strangulation were found on body of the deceased, the SHO maintained.
