Rs 27 cr to be spent on power supply infra upgrade in Faridabad

The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has launched the work of restructuring and renovation project of the power supply network at a cost of Rs 27 crore in the operation circle of Faridabad. The circle has around 6.75 lakh consumers at present. The upgradation project, whose tender was accorded an approval in March, include the augmentation and bifurcation related to around 99 feeders located in two divisions areas of the department here.
While the department has proposed to replace the cables in around 52 feeders, as many as 30 feeders of KV capacity have been selected for the augmentation work. Another 17 feeders have been earmarked for load or supply bifurcation under the project, it is claimed. While 33 feeders where the replacement of cables will be done are located in the Old Faridabad division, 19 feeders falling in the NIT division have been selected for this job, said an official of the DHBVN.
Jitender Dhull, Superintending Engineer, DHBVN, said the restructuring and upgradation of the cabling and feeders in two divisions had already been allotted and was likely to be complete in 24 months.
