The valedictory function of the three-day International Conference on Advances in Material Manufacturing and Industrial Management was organised at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
Head of the department, Prof Dixit Garg, informed the house that the conference was held under different categories of presentations — additive manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, casting and welding technology, supply chain management and logistics, reliability and maintenance engineering, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and data analytics. He said a total of 101 papers were presented during the three-day conference. The plenary sessions and invited lectures were delivered by various national and international distinguished personalities of the domain.
Further, he said, a senior data analytics and AI leader at Cardinal Health from USA, Divanshu Mittal, a globally recognised expert in developing large-scale data-driven and pricing optimisation systems across healthcare, and Prof Yebing Tian from School of Mechanical Engineering, Shandong University of Technology, China, an expert in precision and ultra-precision machining of smart material and characterisation, delivered their lectures through online mode.
On the occasion, Prof BV Ramana Reddy, director, NIT-Kurukshetra, congratulated the department of mechanical engineering for successfully organising the international conference and asked that a recommendation be sent to all stakeholders concerned to implement it. In his address, he laid stress on the role of sustainable technology in developing India as a global leader.
