Karnal, April 12
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification to three government hospitals in the state. The hospitals are the Karnal District Civil Hospital, Jagadhari Civil Hospital and Faridabad’s RCH FRU Hospital. The certification will be for a period of three years, following which there will be re-inspection.
Vandana Gurnani, Additional Secretary and the Mission Director of the NHM, has issued a letter to Rajiv Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana, congratulating him and the state team for the achievement.
“It is a big achievement for us as we had met all five criteria set by the NQAS. The quality certification is a combined effort of all staff members, who are giving their best in providing health services to people,” said Dr Ashwani Ahuja, Civil Surgeon. He congratulated all staff members.
The team had visited the Karnal District Civil Hospital between February 24 and 26. Various facilities in the hospitals were examined. The hospital met all five criteria. — TNS
