The Gurugram police have arrested three persons, including the owner of an eatery, for creating ruckus, besides taking part in assault and vandalism at a restaurant over enmity between two groups. Cross FIRs have been registered at the Shivaji Nagar police station.

The accused has been identified as Aniket, a resident of Khandsa village, and Hemant Sharma and Mohit, residents of Islampur village.

A complainant said he was having dinner at the jail’s Roti Boti restaurant with the eatery’s operator, Hemant Sharma, and his other friend on Sunday night when some people were having a birthday party near a vehicle, which was parked there. When he ordered food, they started abusing and beating him.

On the other hand, in the complaint given by the other party to the police, another person said he was having a birthday party with his friends when he picked up a chair to sit. Due to this, the restaurant owner and his associates beat them up and when they left from there, they vandalised their auto and vehicle and set a van on fire.

“Two cases have been registered against Aniket under the Excise Act in Gurugram. We are conducting raids to nab other accused,” said a police spokesperson.
