The police arrested three accused in an alleged case of murder of a CRPF personnel of Kheri Damkan village in the district. However, the main accused is absconding. The accused were identified as Praveen, Mohit and Sagar of Kheri Damkan village.
Bharti Dabas, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Gohana, said a team led by Inspector Ankit nabbed two accused Praveen and Mohit, while Inspector Virender arrested third accused Sagar. The accused were handed over to the Gohana Sadar police for probe. The police produced the accused in a court on Friday which sent them to one-day police remand, the DCP said.
Notably, Krishan, a-29-year-old Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, who was posted in Chhattisgarh, was shot dead on the intervening night of July 28 and 29. An altercation during the Dak Kanwar procession was cited as the main reason behind the murder. Krishan had come to his village on a one-month leave.
Krishan was at home when around 1 am some youths from his village called him outside. As he opened the door, they opened fire at him. He fell down after sustaining a bullet injury. Hearing the noise of gunfire, his family members came out and saw him lying on the ground. They rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
