3 held for ‘raping’ 16-year-old girl in Panipat village
Four youths reportedly gang raped a-16-year-old girl at a pathology laboratory in Sanoli here. The police have registered a case against four persons, including the owner of the pathology laboratory, and arrested three of them, including a minor, in the case.
Satish Vats, DSP (headquarters), said the arrested accused were identified as Anuj and Aman. On the other hand, a panchayat is being held in the case, in which some people were trying to pressure the victim’s family to compromise in the case. Victim’s elder brother, in his complaint to the police, said he, his father and mother had gone to a factory while his sister was at home alone. He said on Thursday, when he came back, he could not find her. Meanwhile, he saw that she coming on a bike with a youth.
She told him that Anuj’s friend, Aman, took her to a pathology lab, where Anuj and Aman gang raped her.
She said Anuj also took her to the lab 15 days ago, where Anuj and his two friends had raped her and also threatened her that if she told anyone about it, they would kill her and her parents.
Following the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and other sections of the BNS and began a probe into the matter. As the matter came to light, the lab owner managed to run away.
The medical examination of the victim had been carried out and her magistrate statement was also recorded, the DSP added.
