3 minors run away from Udayan Ghar

Three minor girls ran away from Sector 56-based observation home Udayan Ghar for girls on Friday. While two of them were found by the police, one is still missing. An FIR has been registered at Sector 56 police station and a search operation is on in the nearby areas.

According to the complaint filed by Rashi Shivhare, child welfare officer of Udayan Ghar, three girls ran away from the home between 9 and 9.15 am.

“These three girls were 17, 13 and seven years old. The 17-year-old joined the home on November, 27; the 7-year-old came on November 25 and 13-year-old on November 15,” Shivhare told the police.

As per the complaint, an FIR was registered against unknown persons under Section 346 (wrongful confinement in secret) of the IPC at Sector 56 police station and the police swung into action immediately.

The police said the 13-year-old girl took the key from the table when the sole guard of Udayan Ghar went to urinate and all three ran away.

The 17-year-old girl was found at the home of one of her relatives in Mewat while the seven-year-old was found abandonednear a traffic signal at Subhash Chowk.

“The duo was produced before the duty magistrate and sent to the same observation home,” said sub-inspector Dalip Singh, the investigating officer.
