A police spokesperson said the boy, identified as Dev, was found wandering in Hassanpur village’s Dev Kasba, following which he was handed over to his parents by police officials.

He said while the boy’s family members had reported the matter to the police around 4 pm, he was traced by 7.30 pm and handed over to his parents soon after.

Dev had gone missing while he was playing with some kids during a wedding ceremony.

Claiming that a drive named ‘Operation Muskan’ had been underway, he said the police department had been providing help to residents to trace missing persons.
