In her complaint, the victim’s mother, Dulari Devi, said they were living in a rented accommodation. Her daughter Saroj had got married to Omprakash 12 years ago. Saroj and Omprakash had been working at a factory in Jhattipur. However, Saroj left her husband’s house with her three daughters and started living with Sandeep in a live-in relationship.

She said Sandeep had come in contact with another girl, following which both of them often have arguments. She said Saroj’s younger daughter had said that Sandeep had thrashed and strangulated her to death.

Upon receiving information, a police team reached the spot to investigate the matter. The FSL team, led by Neelam Arya, reached the spot and collected evidence from the spot.
