He had gone to the village to visit land he had taken on lease when a heated argument escalated into a physical clash involving sticks, iron rods, and gunfire.

During the confrontation, a member of the opposing group reportedly shot Bishamber in the leg. He was rushed to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Reports also noted severe injuries to his head and hands. Around four to five others were injured and are currently hospitalised.

Sources say the altercation involved about 20 people on each side and stemmed from ongoing tensions related to leased land in the area.
