4.04 lakh unemployed youth registered in state

Hisar tops with 41,991; Gurugram, Faridabad lowest

Of the 4.04 lakh unemployed youth registered with 65 employment exchanges across Haryana, Hisar district leads with 41,991, followed by Jind with 40,596. Bhiwani (32,789) and Kaithal (32,561) are also among the districts with the highest numbers.

In contrast, Gurugram (2,984) and Faridabad (3,221) reported the lowest registrations. Overall, nine districts have more than 20,000 unemployed youth, while six districts have fewer than 10,000.

Among the registered candidates 29,986 are postgraduates, 1.01 lakh are graduates and 2.34 lakh are 10+2 qualified.

Hisar alone has the highest number of postgraduates (2,757), followed by Jind (2,541), Bhiwani (2,321) and Rohtak (2,234).

The state government informed the Assembly that 1.85 lakh youth are receiving unemployment allowance.

This data was shared in reply to a question raised by Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal on the functioning of employment offices, the number of registered unemployed youth and details of unemployment allowance being paid.
