4 Guru Jambheshwar university students secure jobs during placement drive
Four students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, have achieved a remarkable milestone by securing placements during the campus placement drive conducted by Innovative Group Plastic Manufacturing LLC — a leading Dubai-based company specialising in advanced plastic manufacturing.
Alok, Pawan, Kalpana and Manya from the printing technology department got selected. The placement drive, organised virtually by the training and placement cell in collaboration with the department of printing technology, concluded with two students getting selected for the company’s Dubai office and two for its Faridabad office.
Assistant Director (Placement) Aditya Vir Singh said Kalpana and Manya were selected for the Dubai office while Alok and Pawan had been placed at the Faridabad office at the salary package of Rs 8 LPA and Rs 4.5 LPA, respectively.
While congratulating the students, Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi expressed his pride and happiness. He said global placements like these highlighted the exceptional capabilities of GJUST students and reinforced the university’s reputation for producing a workforce ready to meet international standards. These offshore opportunities reflected the global relevance of the skills imparted at GJUST and set a benchmark for future students, he added.
Registrar Vinod Chhokar also congratulated the students on the achievement.
During the pre-placement talk, Gurmeet Singh, founder of Innovative Group Plastic Manufacturing LLC, elaborated on the company’s operations and its focus on innovation in plastic manufacturing. He expressed confidence in the talent pool at GJUST and commended the students for their performance during the rigorous selection process, which included virtual interviews and technical discussions.
Director (Placement) Partap Singh said 32 students from the department of printing technology had registered for the placement drive, of which nine had been shortlisted for the process. The process consisted of a pre-placement talk, followed by virtual interviews. He thanked Gurmeet Singh for conducting the drive and acknowledged the efforts of Bijender Kaushik, training and placement coordinator, and Roli Yadav, student coordinator, for ensuring the smooth execution of the process.
Pankaj Tiwari, chairperson of department of printing technology, appreciated the achievement of the selected students and highlighted the department’s consistent focus on equipping students with industry-relevant skills. He said, “The department of printing technology is proud of its legacy of excellence in education and its ability to produce industry-ready graduates who excel in both domestic and international markets.”
