4 held for robbery in Faridabad
Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place at a house in Karnera village, here, on the night of January 4. The accused, armed with guns, looted jewellery and valuables worth several lakhs, a police spokesperson said.
According to officials, the suspects — Sonu, Bablu, Akash and Rahul — were part of a group of six men who entered the residence of Naveen, a local resident, around midnight. The robbers allegedly threatened the family at gunpoint, before making off with jewellery and other valuables, including two necklaces, four rings, two gold chains, a gold coin, 500 grams of silver and a mobile phone.
The crime was reported on January 5 and following a detailed investigation, police arrested the four accused on Monday from various locations.
Sonu, a resident of Sector 56, is said to have planned the robbery after working as a painter in the house about one and a half months ago. He is also wanted in multiple cases of robbery and snatching. Bablu, from Nangla village and Akash, from Sector 62, are also facing charges. The fourth suspect, Rahul, hails from Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh. Notably, Bablu is also an accused in a murder case.
