The Nuh police have arrested two criminals, who had been absconding for nearly four and a half years, in a murder case. The duo, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on their heads, had allegedly killed a resident of Mohlaka in 2020.
The accused, identified as Rashid and Aalam, had allegedly murdered Yakub. A team of the Punhana CIA, led by in-charge Sandeep Mor, had received information on Sunday regarding the hideouts of the accused. The police team raided the place and arrested both of them.
According to a police spokesperson, Yakub had gone out on a motorcycle, but he did not return home, following which his family members started searching for him. Later, he was found dead in the forest area of Sakras with injury marks all over his body. On his son’s complaint, an FIR was registered in the case.
“During investigation, four persons were held while others were absconding. The accused used to deceive people by posing as girls and call them to unknown places to commit robbery. Similarly, the accused had also lured Yakub and called him to the forest. However, clash erupted between Yakub and the miscreants, who attacked the victim on his private parts, which led to his death. We are questioning the accused,” the spokesperson added.
