As many as 86,182 property IDs have been self-certified by residents of areas falling under the Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ).
There are 2,11,862 property IDs under the MCYJ, of which 40.67 per cent (86,182) property IDs have so far been self-certified by the owners of the said properties.
“We are at number one position in self-certification work of property IDs in Haryana and this has been possible due to the efforts of officers and employees of the MCYJ,” said Vijay Pal Yadav, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, MCYJ.
He said that under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha, the work was being monitored by the officers of the MCYJ regularly.
He said 45 employees of the MCYJ were going door to door in every ward to help people in getting the work done. “We have set up citizen facilitation centres in all three offices of the MCYJ in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri to expedite the work,” said Yadav.
He added that teams had also organised camps in every ward to extend help to people in getting their property IDs corrected.
This drive is being undertaken to ensure that data of property owners, including name, plot size and address, is correct so that people get accurate tax bills and they don’t face any problem in executing sale and purchase registrations at the Revenue Department.
