A nearly 40-feet tall statue of Lord Krishna was prepared at a workshop of Ram Vanji Sutar in Noida, who also designed the Statue of Unity.

Sculpture Anil Sutar told The Tribune: “The remaining brickwork has also been started and the work is likely to be completed within 20 days.”

Sources said the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) wanted to unveil the statue during the International Gita Mahotsav, scheduled to start next month, but now it seems to be a difficult task as the landscaping work was still pending.

Besides, nearly a dozen trees near the statue have been another issue that the board has been facing. The board has been contemplating over shifting the trees to another location at the Tirtha to get a clear view for the statue.
