Using the knife, he attacked Kuldeep’s neck from behind.

The victim’s family caught Navin and snatched the knife from his hands.

Meanwhile, Navin’s father Krishan and neighbour Takdir entered the house and helped him flee.

Kuldeep’s family immediately took him to the Civil Hospital, where doctors’ declared him dead.

After receiving information, sadar police reached the village. Cops found blood, the knife and a knife cover at the house, and called an FSL team to the spot.

Following the complaint, the police registered a case against Navin, Krishan and Takdir under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Inspector Umesh Kumar, SHO (Sadar), said the body of the deceased was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination on Saturday. Prima facie, it came to the fore that there was some feud between Kuldeep and Navin.

Kuldeep used to work at a money transfer shop owned by Navin. However, he had quit around a month and a half ago, the SHO added. It would be too early to comment as a probe into the matter was under way, the SHO maintained.
