5 hurt as roof collapses at Rewari two-wheeler unit
Five employees were injured when the roof of a block at a two-wheeler manufacturing unit, Hero Moto Corp, located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Dharuhera town here collapsed late on Friday night.
The injured were admitted to a private hospital immediately. Two of them were discharged today and the condition of the other three is stated to be out of danger. Short circuit is believed to be the reason behind the incident, said the authorities.
“Another employee, Hakim Khan, a resident of Thekda ka Bas, Maujpur in Alwar district of Rajasthan, is feared to be trapped under the rubble. NDRF and HSDRF teams are currently carrying out rescue operations to locate him,” said the district police spokesperson.
On getting information, Rewari SP Mayank Gupta rushed to the spot and conducted a thorough inspection of the area. He also received updates on the ongoing rescue operations and instructed the rescue teams to work quickly to extricate the trapped workers.
