Mahendragarh, January 30

Five students and two teachers of a private school suffered injuries when their school bus and a dumper collided on the National Highway Number-11 near Ateli town here on Tuesday.

All the injured are out of danger. Poor visibility is stated to be the reason behind the mishap. The police are investigating. No case was registered till the filing of the report.

Sources said the mishap took place in the morning when the bus, belonging to a private school located in Kund town, was on its way to the school after picking children and teachers from various points of the district.

“As soon as the bus reached the Ateli bypass, it collided with a dumper coming from the opposite direction. Five children and two teachers sustained minor injuries in the mishap. They were taken to a hospital in Ateli where one student was admitted and others were discharged after giving first aid,” said a police official.

Braham Prakash, SHO, Ateli Police Station, said no formal complaint had been received so far for registration of a case.
